Air Fryer Breaded Fish

Crisp golden breaded white fish fillets with a light, crunchy crumb and flaky centre. The air fryer gives a crunchy crust with a fraction of the oil of pan-frying.
Ingredients
- 4 skinless white fish fillets
- 60 g plain flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 120 g panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper
- Oil spray
Method
- 1Season the flour with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- 2Mix the panko with the parmesan.
- 3Coat each fillet in flour, then egg, then the panko mixture.
- 4Preheat the air fryer to 200°C/400°F and mist the fillets with oil.
- 5Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until crisp and 63°C/145°F inside.
- 6Serve with lemon wedges and tartare sauce.
Tips for the best results
- Parmesan in the crumb adds savoury depth and browning.
- Press the crumbs on firmly so the coating stays put.
