A crisp flatbread base topped with cream cheese, egg, spinach and bacon, like an open breakfast tart. The air fryer crisps the base and sets the egg for a quick, savoury morning bite.
Ingredients
- 1 flatbread or naan
- 3 tbsp cream cheese
- 2 eggs
- 40 g spinach
- 2 rashers bacon, chopped
- 40 g grated cheese
- 1 tsp oil
- Salt and pepper
Method
- 1Preheat the air fryer to 185°C/365°F.
- 2Spread the cream cheese over the flatbread and scatter with spinach and bacon.
- 3Cook for 4 minutes to crisp the base.
- 4Make two wells, crack in the eggs and add the grated cheese.
- 5Cook for a further 4-7 minutes until the eggs set and reach 71°C/160°F.
- 6Season and slice to serve.
Tips for the best results
- Pre-crisp the base so it does not go soggy under the egg.
- Pre-cook the bacon a little for extra crunch.
