Lean Canadian bacon, or back bacon, warms and lightly crisps at the edges in the air fryer in minutes. It is a quick, meaty addition to a breakfast muffin, eggs benedict or a simple fry-up.
Ingredients
- 8 slices Canadian bacon
- Oil spray (optional)
- Black pepper
- Maple syrup (optional)
- Poached eggs, to serve
- English muffins, to serve
Method
- 1Lay the slices in a single layer, overlapping only slightly.
- 2Preheat the air fryer to 180°C/360°F.
- 3Cook 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway, until the edges curl and colour.
- 4Check they are hot through at 71°C/160°F.
- 5Stack onto toasted muffins with a poached egg.
- 6Serve straight away.
