Juicy lamb burgers seasoned with garlic, mint and cumin are a flavourful change from beef. The air fryer keeps them moist while browning the outside, perfect topped with feta and tzatziki in a toasted bun.

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried mint
  • ½ small onion, grated

  • 4 burger buns

Method

  1. 1Mix the lamb with the garlic, cumin, mint, onion, salt and pepper.
  2. 2Shape into four patties and press a dimple into the centre of each.
  3. 3Preheat the air fryer to 190°C (375°F) for 3 minutes.
  4. 4Cook the patties for 11-15 minutes, flipping halfway, to 71°C (160°F).
  5. 5Rest for a couple of minutes while you toast the buns.
  6. 6Build the burgers with your favourite toppings and serve.

Tips for the best results

  • Handle the mince lightly so the burgers stay tender rather than dense.
  • Feta, tzatziki and a little pickled red onion pair brilliantly with lamb.
