Updated 7 September 2026
Chunky lamb kebabs with peppers and onion cook up tender and charred in the air fryer. A yogurt and spice marinade keeps the lamb succulent, giving you a taste of the grill indoors with proper smoky, blistered edges.
Ingredients
- 600 g lamb leg, cubed
- 150 g natural yogurt
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 red onion, cut into wedges
- 1 green pepper, chunked
- 1 tsp salt
Method
- 1Mix the yogurt, garlic, cumin, paprika and salt, then coat the lamb and marinate for 1 hour.
- 2Thread the lamb, onion and pepper alternately onto skewers.
- 3Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3 minutes.
- 4Cook the skewers for 10-14 minutes, flipping halfway.
- 5Check the lamb has reached 63°C (145°F) for a juicy medium.
- 6Rest for a couple of minutes and serve with rice or flatbread.
Tips for the best results
- The yogurt marinade tenderises the lamb and helps it char without drying out.
- Soak wooden skewers or use metal ones so they do not burn.
