Air Fryer Pigs in Blankets

Cocktail sausages wrapped in streaky bacon and air fried until crisp and glossy. A festive favourite that comes out perfectly golden and saves precious oven space at Christmas dinner.
Ingredients
- 12 cocktail sausages
- 6 rashers streaky bacon, halved
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp wholegrain mustard
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Method
- 1Stretch each bacon half with the back of a knife, then wrap around a sausage.
- 2Preheat the air fryer to 190°C/375°F.
- 3Place the wrapped sausages seam-side down in a single layer.
- 4Air fry for 8 minutes, shaking once.
- 5Brush with maple syrup, season with pepper and cook a further 4-7 minutes until crisp and browned.
- 6Check the sausages are cooked through to 74°C/165°F before serving.
Tips for the best results
- Placing them seam-side down stops the bacon unravelling.
- The syrup glaze gives a lovely sticky, festive finish.
