Sticky, candy-like pork belly burnt ends are a barbecue treat, and the air fryer renders the cubes crisp and caramelised without a smoker. Tossed in a sweet, sticky glaze, they are impossible to stop eating.
Ingredients
- 700 g pork belly, cut into 3 cm cubes
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- 4 tbsp barbecue sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
Method
- 1Toss the pork belly cubes with sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- 2Preheat the air fryer to 190°C/375°F.
- 3Cook the cubes 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway, until crisp and rendered.
- 4Mix the barbecue sauce and honey, then toss the cubes through it.
- 5Return to the basket for 3 minutes to set the sticky glaze.
