Updated 7 September 2026

Crispy pork egg rolls come out golden and crunchy in the air fryer with a fraction of the oil of deep-frying. A savoury filling of pork and crunchy cabbage stays juicy inside the shatteringly crisp wrapper.

Ingredients

  • 10 egg roll wrappers
  • 300 g pork mince
  • 200 g shredded cabbage
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • Oil spray

Method

  1. 1Stir-fry the pork until cooked, then add cabbage, carrot, soy, sesame oil and ginger until just wilted; cool.
  2. 2Spoon filling onto each wrapper, fold in the sides and roll up tightly, sealing with water.
  3. 3Preheat the air fryer to 190°C/375°F and spray the basket.
  4. 4Arrange the rolls seam-side down and spray all over with oil.
  5. 5Cook 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp.
  6. 6Ensure the filling is at 71°C/160°F and serve with dipping sauce.

Tips for the best results

  • Cool the filling before rolling so the wrappers do not tear.
  • Spray the wrappers well for an even, golden crunch.
