Updated 7 September 2026
Glossy teriyaki pork brings the flavour of the takeaway home, with tender pieces air-fried then tossed in a sticky-sweet soy glaze. The air fryer caramelises the edges so the sauce clings to every bite.
Ingredients
- 500 g pork loin, cubed
- 1 tbsp oil
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- Sliced spring onion, to garnish
Method
- 1Toss the pork cubes with the oil and a spoon of the soy sauce.
- 2Preheat the air fryer to 200°C/400°F.
- 3Cook the pork 10-12 minutes, tossing halfway, until browned and at 63°C/145°F.
- 4Meanwhile simmer the remaining soy, mirin, honey, ginger and garlic until glossy and thick.
- 5Toss the cooked pork through the warm glaze to coat.
- 6Scatter with sesame seeds and spring onion and serve over rice.
Tips for the best results
- Reduce the sauce until syrupy so it clings rather than runs.
- Cut the pork into even cubes so they cook at the same rate.
