Air Fryer Turnips

Roasted turnips turned golden and lightly sweet, a great low-carb alternative to roast potatoes. The air fryer softens their peppery bite and crisps the edges, giving a comforting, budget-friendly side.
Ingredients
- 600 g turnips, peeled and cubed
- 1.5 tbsp olive oil
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
- 0.5 tsp fine salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
Method
- 1Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
- 2Peel and cut the turnips into 2 cm cubes.
- 3Toss with oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
- 4Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking every 8 minutes.
- 5Cook until tender inside and golden outside.
- 6Serve hot.

- Choose smaller turnips for a sweeter, milder flavour.
- Cut evenly so they roast at the same rate.
- Finish with grated parmesan and parsley for extra flavour.
