Crisp-edged bok choy with tender stems and a savoury sesame-garlic glaze. The air fryer chars the leaves while keeping the crunchy base juicy, a speedy Asian-inspired side for rice bowls and stir-fries.
Ingredients
- 4 heads baby bok choy, halved
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Method
- 1Preheat the air fryer to 190°C (375°F).
- 2Halve the bok choy lengthways and rinse well between the leaves.
- 3Whisk the sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic and ginger, then brush over the bok choy.
- 4Arrange cut-side up in a single layer.
- 5Air fry for 6-9 minutes, flipping halfway, until the edges char and the stems soften.
- 6Scatter with sesame seeds and serve.
