Crispy pork wontons that crackle at first bite with a savoury, gingery centre. The air fryer crisps the little parcels evenly without a pan of hot oil, perfect for parties.
Ingredients
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 250 g minced pork
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 2 spring onions, minced
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- Small bowl of water for sealing
- Spray oil
Method
- 1Combine pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, spring onions and white pepper.
- 2Place 1 tsp filling in the centre of each wrapper, wet the edges and gather into a purse or triangle.
- 3Preheat the air fryer to 180°C/360°F.
- 4Mist the wontons with oil and arrange in a single layer without touching.
- 5Cook for 7-9 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp.
- 6Confirm the pork reaches 71°C/160°F before serving with dipping sauce.
Tips for the best results
- Keep unused wrappers under a damp cloth so they do not dry and crack.
- A tiny amount of filling gives the crispiest ratio of shell to centre.
