Classic deviled eggs made easy by hard-cooking the eggs in the air fryer, no boiling required. The shells peel cleanly and the creamy, tangy filling comes together in minutes for a retro party favourite.
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp white wine vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Paprika for dusting
- Chives, finely snipped

- 2Cook for 15-17 minutes for firm yolks.
- 3Transfer straight to iced water for 5 minutes, then peel.
- 4Halve the eggs, scoop the yolks into a bowl and mash with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt and pepper.
- 5Pipe or spoon the filling back into the whites.
- 6Dust with paprika and scatter chives before serving.
Tips for the best results
- The ice bath stops cooking and makes the shells slip off cleanly.
- Every air fryer runs differently, so test one egg first to dial in your timing.
