Air Fryer Bang Bang Shrimp

Crispy coated prawns tossed in a creamy, sweet-and-spicy bang bang sauce. The air fryer crisps the coating with barely any oil, giving you that takeaway crunch without the deep-fat fryer.
Ingredients
- 500 g large raw prawns, peeled and deveined
- 60 g cornflour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 80 g panko breadcrumbs
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tsp honey
- Salt and black pepper
- Spring onions, to garnish
Method
- 1Preheat the air fryer to 200°C/400°F for 3 minutes.
- 2Pat the prawns dry, then coat in cornflour, dip in beaten egg and press into the panko.
- 3Mist with oil spray and arrange in a single layer.
- 4Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway, until golden and crisp.
- 5Whisk the mayonnaise, sweet chilli, sriracha and honey into a smooth sauce.
- 6Toss the hot prawns in the sauce and scatter with spring onions.
Tips for the best results
- Sauce the prawns just before serving so they stay crisp.
- Adjust the sriracha up or down to suit your heat tolerance.
