Air Fryer Fish Fillets

Crispy breaded fish fillets with a flaky centre - the air fryer version of your favourite chip-shop fish, minus the deep fryer.

Ingredients

  • 4 white fish fillets (cod or haddock)
  • 60 g plain flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 lemon, to serve

Method

  1. 1Pat the fillets dry and season lightly.
  2. 2Coat each in flour, then egg, then the breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper and paprika.
  3. 3Preheat the air fryer to 200°C / 400°F for 3 minutes.
  4. 4Place the fillets in a single layer and spray with oil.
  5. 5Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and 63°C / 145°F inside.
  6. 6Serve with lemon wedges.

Tips for the best results

  • Choose fillets of even thickness so they cook at the same rate.
  • Spray the coating with oil for a deep golden crust.
