Ready in about 17 minutes.
Updated 7 September 2026
A fluffy, fuss-free omelette cooked in a small tin in the air fryer, so there is no pan to babysit and no flipping. The circulating heat sets the eggs evenly while the cheese melts and the fillings warm through.
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 3 tbsp milk
- 40 g cheddar, grated
- 1/2 bell pepper, diced
- 2 spring onions, sliced
- Salt and pepper
- Butter for greasing
Method
- 1Preheat the air fryer to 175°C/350°F.
- 2Whisk the eggs, milk, salt and pepper until fully combined.
- 3Grease a small heatproof tin and stir in the peppers and spring onions.
- 4Pour in the egg mixture and scatter over the cheese.
- 5Cook for 8-10 minutes until puffed and just set in the centre.
- 6Check the eggs reach 71°C/160°F, then loosen the edges and fold to serve.
Tips for the best results
- Use a tin that fits your basket with room for the eggs to rise.
- Do not overfill with wet vegetables or the omelette will steam.
