Updated 7 September 2026

Sticky, tender ribs with caramelised edges and deep barbecue flavour. The air fryer gives you a surprisingly good rib fix without firing up the grill.

Ingredients

  • 1 rack pork ribs, cut to fit
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 tbsp barbecue sauce

Method

  1. 1Rub the ribs with the oil, salt, paprika and garlic powder.
  2. 2Preheat the air fryer to 180°C / 350°F.
  3. 3Air fry for 25-35 minutes, flipping halfway, until tender.
  4. 4Brush with barbecue sauce for the last 5 minutes so it caramelises.
  5. 5Rest briefly, then serve.

Tips for the best results

  • Cut the rack into sections so air can circulate properly.
  • Check tenderness rather than relying on time alone because rib thickness varies.
