Air Fryer Chicken Quarters

Meaty leg quarters with shatteringly crisp skin and fall-apart tender meat. The air fryer renders the fat beautifully so the skin crackles while the thigh and drumstick stay moist, a budget-friendly and satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken leg quarters
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method

  1. 1Pat the quarters very dry and rub with oil and all the seasonings.
  2. 2Preheat the air fryer to 190°C (375°F).
  3. 3Place skin-side down and cook for 18 minutes.
  4. 4Flip skin-side up and cook a further 10-17 minutes until crisp.
  5. 5Check the thickest part reaches 74°C (165°F).
  6. 6Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
