Crunchy chicken in a glossy sweet-savoury sauce finished with toasted sesame seeds. The air fryer gives you a crisp coating with minimal oil, so this takeaway staple comes together fresher and lighter at home.

Ingredients

  • 600 g chicken thigh, cubed
  • 4 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

Method

  1. 1Coat the chicken in egg then cornflour.
  2. 2Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) and spray with oil.
  3. 3Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway, until crisp.
  4. 4Simmer the soy, honey, sesame oil, vinegar and garlic into a sticky sauce.
