A boneless turkey breast turns out juicy and golden in the air fryer, perfect for a small festive dinner or meal prep. It frees up the oven and delivers crisp herby skin with tender, sliceable meat.
Ingredients
- 1.5 kg boneless turkey breast joint
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Method
- 1Pat the turkey dry and rub with the oil, butter and all the seasonings.
- 2Preheat the air fryer to 175°C (350°F).
- 3Place the turkey skin-side down and cook for 25 minutes.
- 4Turn skin-side up and cook a further 20-30 minutes.
- 5Check the centre reaches 74°C (165°F), adding time if needed.
- 6Rest for 15 minutes, then slice against the grain.
Tips for the best results
- Use a meat thermometer, as turkey dries out quickly if overcooked.
- Loosely tent with foil if the skin browns too fast.
